If you’d like to clear your head and enjoy the North Sea for a while, you don’t have to travel far: the beach at Egmond aan Zee is right on the doorstep and is perfect for a walk in the fresh air.

Paved beach access paths make it easy to reach the sea. For those who cannot cross the sand in a regular wheelchair, special beach wheelchairs are available. So-called “Jutter” chairs — some even with electric drive — can be hired at the BikeMike bicycle rental in Hotel Zuiderduin or directly at the beach pavilions.

An outing that can be shaped entirely to your liking: perfect for a short stroll or an extended walk along the beach.

“Good to know”: Especially lovely in dry autumn weather and wind. Depending on your mood and fitness level, you can spend one to three hours on the beach.
