Egmond Film Forum: Voices and stories against forgetting
28. 10., 10:00 bis 18:00
Historical documents from more than six decades of thalidomide history
How has the life of people with thalidomide damage changed over the decades? What challenges, experiences, and successes have shaped their path?
In the “Egmond Film Forum,” we present documentaries and historical television reports that open up different perspectives on the thalidomide story. They tell of life with thalidomide damage, the commitment of those affected and their families, and the fight for recognition, participation, and self-determination.
Among the films shown are “Voices Against Forgetting” by Rainer Jagusch (2021), “Contergan – The Parents” by Andreas Fischer (2003), and the WDR production “Arms, Legs, Who Has None, You Have Two and We Are Free” (1971). The program is complemented by excerpts from various television reports.
The films run in a continuous loop, inviting you to drop by at any time, refresh memories, and discover new perspectives.
