The Room of Silence invites visi­tors to remem­ber those who have passed away as a result of thalidomide-related disabil­i­ties and to pause for a moment.

Cards bear­ing the names of the deceased and other personal details are displayed in the room. Anyone who would like to honor some­one whose name is not yet listed may add a card themselves. 

This space symbol­izes our bond and soli­dar­ity as an inter­na­tional commu­nity. No one should be forgot­ten. Precisely because public aware­ness of thalido­mide is grad­u­ally fading, we want to preserve the memory of those who are no longer with us. 

This is a time for personal reflec­tions, memo­ries, and quiet remembrance.
