What do we learn about the living situ­a­tion of people with thalidomide-related damage when their needs are consid­ered holis­ti­cally? Debo­rah Jack presents so-called Holis­tic Needs Assess­ments (HNAs) and explains what insights these needs assess­ments provide into the lives of thalido­mide survivors in the United Kingdom. 

In addi­tion, she provides a brief overview of other current and planned initia­tives in the United King­dom that may also be of inter­est to those affected and to organ­i­sa­tions in other countries.
