Volendam combines many elements associated with the Netherlands: a lively harbor, traditional costumes, freshly caught fish, and views of the water.

From there, the “Volendam-Marken Express” ferry continues to Marken. The harbor promenade in Volendam is flat, and the ferry is accessible for wheelchair users via ramps. The lower deck of the ships is heated in October.

If you fancy a very special souvenir photo, you can even have your picture taken in traditional Dutch costume in Volendam. There are barrier-free photo studios available there.

Good to know: The journey from Egmond takes about 40 minutes. Depending on your itinerary, the excursion is suitable for half a day or a full day.
